Are your feet healthy?
Pedicures are a great way to provide basic care for your feet.
A pedicure is a cosmetic treatment for the feet and toenails that cleans your feet & provides nail care
As with all my treatments your pedicure can be tailored to your needs, if you don’t like your feet being touched very much then we can miss out some of the exfoliation or massage, if you don’t want any polish that’s fine too. Just let me know when you’re booking how you would like your treatment to be.

Tips for you ..
There’s no need to cut your nails first or remove your nail polish – that’s all part of the treatment, if you have gels on just book the gel removal too.
If you are having polish rather than gel then bring along your flip flops to wear until you are happy your nails are completely ready, they can be touch dry in a few minutes but may take up to an hour to fully dry depending on the number of coats.
For most people, it is recommended to get a full pedicure every 4 to 6 weeks, normally clients base it on how quickly their nails grow.
Benefits of regularly getting pedicures.
- A regular pedicure can help to detect early signs of corns, bunions and fungal infections.
- Clipping, cutting and cleaning of the toe nails prevents them from growing inward and causing infection. Removing dirt and bacteria from your feet will also help prevent nail diseases disorders (fungi) and foot odours. It is also important to keep toenails healthy because they protect toes.
- A pedicure includes soaks in warm water and moisturiser that helps preserve the moisture and integrity of your feet. Moisturised feet are less likely to get foot problems. Also keeping your cuticles moisturised prevents nails from growing out with ridges or split ends which can cause the nails to lift out of the nail beds.
- Exfoliation, or removal of dead skin cells, prevents the cells from accumulating and causing bunions or corns, which can be uncomfortable and painful. On the heel it encourages new cell growth which creates smoother feet.
- Massaging helps promotes circulation and helps relieve tension in the calves and feet. Increase in blood circulation can reduce pain and help distribute heat throughout your body and helps to prevent pain, arthritis, and varicose veins.
- A good pedicure can be very relaxing. It helps to relieve stress and can be therapeutic. According to the British NHS information, massage therapy eases tension, stiffness and enhances well-being.
Feet get little care compared to other parts of your body yet healthy feet are vital to our overall health so don’t neglect them!
